Styled Shoot | Backyard Wedding
This fall, Rustic Elegance worked with some outstanding vendors to plan a backyard/farm styled shoot. This experience was incredibly amazing!! So much work but so much fun! I have to say it was really hard to narrow down which photos to use. Jeannine Marie Photography did an astonishing job capturing all the details. We were inspired to put this shoot together for brides who share a love of the outdoors and who are envisioning an intimate, rustic but elegant, backyard/farm wedding.
A bit about the shoot: The shoot took place on a residential farm in Independence, MN, which belongs to the parents of the bride model. The bride and groom models (Leslie and Jeremiah) have been dating since 2010. Their love for each other truly shows in theses photos. The flower girls are sisters, Macia and Siri and are friends of the ring bearer, Miles. Can they get any cuter!!?? Parker, the horse, was a horse I rescued a long time ago-He looked like a donkey when we got him-you could never tell by the looks of him now!
A bit about the vendors: Most of the decor came from the Rustic Elegance Rental collection... including the harvest wood tables, vintage sofa's, dessert buffet hutch, vintage plates etc. It was so fun to see all our items come together to create this sensational look! Similar to a real wedding, we also coordinated all the vendors, timelines, set up, overall look and style of the shoot. SM Makeup Inc. used their talents to help with the make-up and hair styling. For the Bridal look, they went with a more traditional, elegant look. They kept her hair style simple by sticking with a down-do, but adding extensions to give a full, thick look. Then, by setting the full head in curls, they were able to achieve that effortless and "flowy" outcome. They used a combination of traditional and airbrush makeup. Then contoured the face to accentuate the brides features, and ended with a light airbrush application to really give that "flawless face". They also wanted to make her eyes pop but still look "natural" so defined the eyebrows, contoured the eye with shadows in the brown/neutral tones, highlighted all the right areas, and used beautiful, thick faux lashes to round out the look. For her lips, they gave a little pop of pink coral, and she was ready to go!" I think Leslie was awestruck at the outcome, as this country girl doesn't usually wear make-up!! She looked breathtaking!! We love the gold lettered "love" necklace that was provided by Kisa Boutique -so simple and so fun!! Kisa Boutique has a new whole sale business which and specializes in small batch statement pieces curated for the beautifully bold and adventurous women of this world! Inspire Bridal Boutique provided the bridal gown and flower girl dresses. The brides dress is an Essense of Australia. This stunning low back wedding dress in Luxe Taffeta features a figure-flattering trumpet silhouette and a romantic removable lace overlay that creates a beautiful V-neck and a deep V-back. The detachable French-wide satin sash adds wow to this breathtaking ensemble. We love how the lace complimented the style we were going for. Simply Stated Elegance provided all the floral arrangements. The brides bouquet consisted of classic rustic flowers including sola, hanging amranthus, roses, orchids and greens for texture, secured using burlap and lace. The grooms boutonniere consisted of scabiosa pods, broom corn pieces and seeded eucalyptus tied using a twine string. Rustic wood floral boxes were used as accents on the dinner tables-they consisted of the same blend of rustic flowers as the brides bouquet. These flowers were outstanding!! Sara's Tipsy Pies , adds a twist to the traditional homemade pie by baking with local wine, whiskey and beer! For our shoot she made an assortment of fun desserts-a good alternative to the traditional wedding cake. Among the desserts were: Hand pies filled with salted caramel apple filling featuring Finnegans Irish Amber Ale, Drunken pumpkin pies, "Pie Pals" (mason jar pies) filled with Finnegans Maple Apple, & Pie Pops (pies on a stick) made with Chestnut Hill Apples beer from Lift Bridge brewer. We were lucky enough to try these after the shoot an WOW!!!The Outer Envelope specializes in wedding invites, bridal logos, save the dates, programs, place cards.. etc- For our shoot they used fun typography, popping on each piece with rustic kraft paper along with touches of lace and twine. So cute!! We love how they were also able to create custom tags for our desserts and popcorn favors. We've Got it Covered, specializes in custom draping, specialty linens, chair covers, sashes, backdrops and more. For our shoot, they provided and hung all the chandeliers and also the lace chair ties. We think you can never have enough chandeliers-they just add such elegance to any setting!Midway Party Rental provided the chiavari chairs, burgundy napkins, place settings, crystal glassware and candelabras used at the harvest dinner table. We loved how the silver candelabras added such a classic, warm, romantic look to the table. We also love how the harvest table looks paired with their chiavari chairs!Huge thank you to all the vendors who took part in this inspirational farm shoot! They all went above and beyond to make this shoot spectacular and it came together better then I ever imagined!! Hope you enjoy the photos…don't miss the moon in the night shoots!!
