Ann + Chris | Family Farm

We had the pleasure of helping Ann and Chris with their wedding planning this past fall. The ceremony and reception was located on their family farm by Sauk Centre, MN. I am a huge fan of this part of MN, as I spent a lot of my summers on a farm not far from here when I was growing up. The ceremony was set in their backyard, overlooking a vista of fields. Strawbails, covered with canvas, lined the aisle for guests to sit on. The reception was held in a large tent provide by Centre Rental, and was positioned in front of the barn. Ann and Chris incorporated a lot of fun details in their day-include a non-traditional ceremony program, which let their personalities shine through. As guests entered the reception they picked up a mason jar glass with their name on it, from under a sign that read "fill me up, use me all night, take me home". The couple also put a twist on the traditional directional sign, by displaying places they had traveled together and the distance to these places.One of my favorite details they incorporated, is they asked their aunts and cousins to bake their favorite dessert/bars instead of a having a cake. These were displayed with the name of the bars and who made them. Despite a huge rain storm that went through right before the ceremony, we rearranged a few things and the sun came back out right as Ann and her dad walked down the aisle. Adagio DJ provided uplighting in the tent and also had people dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Huge thank you to Shelley Paulson Photography for these great photos! She did an fantastic job and was great to work with! It was such a pleasure being a part of Ann and Chris's day. We felt like we were part of the family-we must say Ann's dad, Ken, was one of best FOB we have met! Ann and Chris's wedding was published in the Sauk Centre Herald and will also be featured in the up coming issue of the Central Minnesota Bridal Magazine.
