Stephanie & Andrew... Where do I begin. I adore this couple. Stephanie is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. Prior to the wedding we would get together for coffee to discuss planning updates & details for the big day. I mean this from the bottom of my heart when I say, I felt as if I were meeting one of my closest friends to catch up. Andrew’s sense of humor was fantastic. He just had this aura about him. Perhaps something about her brings it out in him! A natural love for life. Once again, I just wanted to say thanks to both you and Andrew for also extending the invite to your groom’s dinner. It was truly a pleasure working alongside of you! I wish you both the best on your future endeavors, and soon to be family of three!

It was September 19th, Stephanie & Andrew’s first day of the rest of their lives. I wake up bright and early for the beautiful sunny drive to Dellwood Barn and can’t help but smile the whole way there. My assistant Sarah & myself arrive 10am sharp. We begin to set the blush pink runners on the farm tables, making sure every last crease was smoothed over. On the center of half of the tables we placed birch slabs, which held mason jars where the arrangements created by Studio B Floral would be placed. On the opposite tables would be birch candle holders created by Stephanie’s father. He had also helped in the creation of a pie bar sign that will be hung above the dessert buffet. We then make our way to the front of the barn where the head table will reside later that evening. We finish aligning the mason jars and adding crisp clean water where the bouquets will be place following the ceremony. To complete the room we secured the blush pink backdrop.

My team and I finish setting the ceremony site with Rustic Elegance's Rentals, including two wine barrels with amazing floral arrangements by Studio B Floral, which were placed at the entrance. The ceremony doors would frame this beautiful couple as they shared their tear jerking vows. We draped the chandelier elegantly between the two doors. As we finished we double checked to make sure all the chairs were perfectly spread to complete the layout.Sara's Tipsy Pies arrived a with delicious personal pies as well as the eye appealing pies on a stick. I am happy to say her company is now featured at the Minnesota State Fair. Sara was happy to help design the desert spread for the evening.

Rustic Elegance finishes assembling the guest book table which consisted of polaroid cameras and a handpicked book from the couple where friends and family would take a photo of themselves paste is with all the fun little strips of designer tape and then leave the happy couple a message or marital advice. I enjoy being a wedding planner, because I get to experience each bride express their uniqueness with their ideas and visions that will make their day special forever.

The wedding party arrives. First the gentlemen, then shortly after the ladies transported by the stretch limo. The groom awaits the Bride for their first look. Agape Moments is standing by to capture these wonderful emotions of such joy. Sarah and I continue to finish up the last minute details-setting out and pinning up the seating chart, putting together the bathroom baskets, and placing any leftover flowers to continue the ambiance.I proceed to round up the wedding party and can feel everyone’s excitement. To me it seemed as if Stephanie and Andrew were a match made in heaven. No one was nervous and everything felt so natural. It is 4:00pm and guest begin to gather around, greeting family and friends while my assistant and I are guiding them to the ceremony site upon the hill. After a moment or so everyone is seated and my team members and I give the go to cue the processional. Stephanie’s father escorts her down the aisle and is happy to put her in the hands of Andrew. Lots of real emotion! After the I-do's have been said, we continue to cocktail hour served by With a Twist. The bride and groom decided on a specialty cocktail of classic Old Fashions.

Rustic Elegance has had the pleasure of working with This Little Piggy Catering at multiple events. They are so swift and professional and they always make dinner service a breeze. Prior to guests entering the barn they carefully set out vintage plates and to accompany them was perfectly set silverware topped with napkins, that were folded so fast I secretly think they are ninjas.Following dinner Stephanie and Andrew danced away as dusk fell and guests also enjoyed dancing to the music provided by Adagio. The bar was flowing while Sara's Tipsy Pies were displayed and ready to eat. Everyone seemed so happy to share this day with the loving couple. Sadly the evening comes to an end as Renee's Royal Valet arrives promptly at 10:30pm to deliver the guest safely back to their hotels.

September, one of the most popular months to get married, and I truly understand why. The wedding was so wonderful, just the right temp with the bright sun shinning down upon the ceremony which was overlooking the field and the vast amounts of untouched land for miles. It may have also been the love I had for this couple that made me appreciate this day so much. Thank you so much for including Rustic Elegance in your very special day.
