Anna + Jordan | Red Barn Farm
THE PLANNING
We worked with Anna and Jordan to plan a super fun, love-filled day for them and their 130 guests at Red Barn Farm! Lead planner Kellie had most of her planning meetings with the bride over Zoom. Then as the wedding day approached, the details were handed off to their lead planner, Marissa. Keep scrolling to watch this beautiful party unfold!
THE MORNING
Leading up to the wedding, everyone was a bit worried about the forecast predicting rain. Luckily, when the day arrived, Minnesota blessed us with perfect weather! The wedding party and vendors were on site and ready to pull this dream day together. Anna and her 7 bridesmaids got ready on site with The Pretty Committee taking care of all their glam needs.
Meanwhile, all the vendors were arriving bright and early to take care of their tasks. The RE team of Marissa and Anna were on site to answer questions, direct vendors, and help set up decor. We were assisted by several aunts and cousins who helped build a photo backdrop, make lunch for the wedding party, and simply be ready to help wherever needed!
Once the bride and her gals were dressed and ready, they stepped outside to do a first look. Based on their reactions, you know she was looking stunning! After having a moment with her bridesmaids, she rounded the corner to do a first look with her dad. We love this sweet moment between them!
Anna then met Jordan down by the horse pasture for their first look. The emotions were definitely high at this point, so seeing each other was exactly what they needed! G. Marie Photography did an amazing job capturing all these beautiful moments! The couple then got portraits taken in various locations throughout the venue before being joined by their wedding party for group photos. As photos wrapped up, we pulled the wedding party aside to run through a quick day of rehearsal before guests began arriving.
THE CEREMONY
Due to the weather cooperating, the couple was able to have their outdoor ceremony! It took place overlooking a cornfield and vineyard. This is a new ceremony location for the venue, and it is so stunning! The arch was provided by the venue and beautifully decorated by Forget-Me-Not Florist to add the perfect amount of elegance.
As the wedding party made their way down the aisle, guests were serenaded by the beautiful sounds of a violin, keyboard, and live singer from Frye Music Duo. Both Anna and Jordan chose to walk down the aisle with both of their parents, which was a special touch! The ring bearer was the couple’s dog, Murphy, who did a great job delivering the rings with the help of the bride’s brother, Bobby!
The couple had a beautiful ceremony with a special reading and a box filled with letters and photos that they nailed shut together as their unity symbol. They finished off this sweet event with a kiss and a celebratory walk down the aisle to sign their marriage license!
THE RECEPTION
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the old barn rooftop patio that overlooked the ceremony site. With a Twist served up drinks while everyone socialized and added their photo to the couple’s polaroid guest book. A’BriTin also provided an appetizer station for guests to enjoy during this time.
As dinnertime arrived, the RE team began directing guests to find their assigned tables and take a seat. The wedding party then did their grand entrance into the reception. As you can tell, they had a lot of fun with it! Once the excitement died down, A’BriTin was ready to serve the buffet. Tables were dismissed and the line moved swiftly so that everyone got their hot, delicious food quickly! Dessert was provided by the couple’s friend who owns a bakery. There was a red velvet cake for the head table and cupcakes for the guests. The sweets were so delicious there wasn’t a single cupcake left at the end of the night!
The couple had a special lineup of groupings for their first dances. Of course, it started off with a sweet moment shared by the bride and groom. It was followed by a father/daughter dance and a mother/son dance that were just as sweet! The special addition that Anna and Jordan had was sharing a moment with their new in-laws. The bride danced with her father-in-law and the groom danced with his mother-in-law. This was a unique touch that we loved!
Once these dances were done, it was time to get the party started! Midwest Sound got the music going and the dance floor was packed. The DJ might have done a little too good with the playlist as there were several groomsmen that ripped their pants while dancing! As you can assume, this wedding provided a lot for Videography Minnesota LLC to capture!
Although the party was a ton of fun, G. Marie Images managed to pull the happy couple out for a few sunset photos. We are so happy they did because these pictures turned out absolutely stunning!
Anna + Jordan, we had so much fun planning with you and bringing your love-filled party to life! We hope marriage is as much fun as this day was.
Special thank you to G. Marie Images for capturing this day and sharing the images with us!
