Emere + Dalton | Backyard
THE PLANNING
Emere and Dalton were so sweet and such a fun couple to plan with! Due to drier than anticipated conditions, the couple made the decision to move the wedding and reception from their front yard to the backyard a few weeks before their wedding. This gave them more space and truly created a magical forest experience for their day! With this change, we decided to upgrade from three tents to one clear top tent to embrace the mystical setting. Apres was more than happy to work with us to make these last minute changes. The Thursday before the wedding, the RE team arrived at the backyard in Greenfield to help manage the tent set up. We also delivered the items that the couple was renting from our inventory and prepared as much decor as possible.
THE MORNING
The day of the wedding brought beautiful July weather! The RE team got busy setting up table decor, adding finishing touches to the space, and greeting vendors as they arrived. The bridesmaids kept busy all morning in the couple’s home getting glammed by Kelsey and Taya for hair and makeup. Even the dogs were busy getting dressed up for the day!
When everyone was finished getting ready, the couple made their way to the backyard for a sweet first look. Following the first look with the groom, the bride also did a first look with her dad. His reaction alone says how stunning Emere looked! After sharing these intimate moments together, the wedding party joined the bride and groom and Alexa Kate Photo captured a few group photos.
THE CEREMONY
When lead planner Cassi was asked how she would describe the ceremony, she had one word: captivating! The space was truly a magical experience and the late afternoon sunlight filtered through the trees to create a beautiful scene. The aisle was lit with fairy lights and the altar made by the couple was rustic and draped in gorgeous florals and greenery by the bride’s mom. We absolutely loved that the couple decided to have their dogs, Kenai and Harper, as their ring bearer and flower girl! The bride was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents to meet her soon-to-be husband waiting for her at the altar. The couple shared their vows, sealed them with a kiss, and they were officially husband and wife!
THE RECEPTION
Following the ceremony, the RE team (along with a few guests) moved the chairs to the tables under the tent. The couple rented our assorted wood folding chairs to pull together the rustic vibe, and used our wood tables to create the head table. We’ve Got It Covered provided beautiful draping and lighting throughout the tent, which was even more stunning as evening approached! The kids enjoyed running around the yard blowing bubbles during cocktail hour while the adults socialized and snacked on appetizers provided by the family. The couple made their grand entrance into cocktail hour by riding in on a lawnmower that was decorated for the event!
When dinnertime arrived, the guests headed to their assigned tables to enjoy a delicious buffet provided by Apples to Apples. Each table number included pets names and photos. This was very fitting for the couple as they are huge animal lovers! Emere even made sure to get a picture with their chickens on the wedding day! Each guest’s seat also had a small container of jam made by the couple as a favor, we loved how special and unique this was! Following dinner the guests enjoyed a delicious dessert of cheesecakes and brownie bites provided by the couple which were beautifully displayed on our hutch. Emere and Dalton got a scrumptious looking cake from Muddy Paws to cut together as well.
The couple then made their way to the dancefloor to partake in their first dance as a married couple, and it was so fun (I mean look at these photos)! Following their dance, the bride and her father shared a sweet dance together and the groom and his mom did a little polka! The dance floor was then opened up to all of the guests and the lively group kept it full all night long! Even the bride’s great grandpa made it to the dancefloor to share a dance with her. He is in his 90’s but still moved right along to Frank Sinatra with everyone else!
Fun Fact: At one point throughout the day, assistant Kierra ended up driving a guest to the hospital because they had an injury to their toe from a wood chip! Rest assured, the guest got fixed up and returned back to the wedding ready to continue the party!
Emere + Dalton, the RE team absolutely loved being included on your big day! It was truly magical from beginning to end!
