THE PLANNING

Hanna and Michael were such sweethearts to plan with! RE owner, Kellie, did all of the pre-planning with the bride primarily over Zoom. As the wedding approached, Marissa H took over as the couple’s lead planner to coordinate their day. Everyone was getting so excited for the couple’s wedding at Jerome Event Center in downtown Delano including their 140 guests!

THE MORNING

When the special day arrived, Minnesota did not disappoint with the fall weather! The overcast skies made perfect lighting for the moody, elegant photos that Lulle Photo would be taking outside later that day. The ladies began getting picture ready on site at Jerome Event Center with Melanie Herkenhoff Mages perfecting hair and SandyJo Plante completing their beautiful makeup!

Once everyone was finished getting ready, it was time for the first looks. Hanna met her dad outside where they shared a sweet moment. Look at his big smile seeing his daughter on her wedding day!

Following the first look with her father, the bride met her groom for their first look. We love that they did a first touch beforehand to lead into this moment! Lulle Photo then took the couple around the area to capture a few portraits. They turned out with the perfect balance of coziness and drama!

While photos were being taken, the RE team was busy setting up decor and greeting vendors. Everything was coming together beautifully!

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony and dinner would be taking place in the same room, so we were mindful of this when setting up the space. Delano Floral and Gifts did an installation where the couple would be standing during the ceremony, which was also where the head table would be after the room flip. This hanging piece paired with the rug and grass decor provided by the venue added the perfect touch of softness to the brick wall backdrop!

Once the wedding party, consisting of 4 members on each side, made their way swiftly down the aisle, it was time for Hanna’s grand entrance. She looked absolutely stunning in her Wedding Shoppe dress that fit her like a glove! We love that the couple opted to have the chairs set in a semicircle. It made the ceremony feel very intimate and gave everyone a great view! After a few sweet words from the couple and readings from the groom’s sister and the maid of honor, Hanna and Michael were officially married! They shared a long awaited kiss before celebrating down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun. The ushers then dismissed rows to head to cocktail hour in a separate room so the vendors could get to work flipping the space.

THE RECEPTION

Seeing the reception space that we had dreamed up with the couple come to life with the help of our vendor pals is always such a magical moment! The table decor was kept simple, consisting of hurricane candle holders with real candles and eucalyptus laid around them.

As cocktail hour wrapped up, guests began to find their seats using the seating chart provided by the couple. The couple decided against a grand entrance, so the bride’s dad kicked dinner off with a welcome speech. Then it was time to dismiss guests so everyone could start digging into the delicious buffet from A’BriTin! After dinner, guests were encouraged to grab a Nothing Bundt Cakes from the display that the RE team had set out. The couple opted to get a small cake for the bridal party, which doubled as their cutting cake. They used a serving knife from Hanna’s grandmother which made it extra special!

Midwest Sound then invited the couple to the dance floor for their first dance to Perfect by Dustin Hatzenbuhler. We love that it took place right under one of the venue’s beautiful chandeliers! Following the couple’s first dance, they each joined their parents for the traditional parent dances. The special dances concluded with a dollar dance which was fun for everyone to watch and participate in! Throughout the night, Midwest Sound stayed on top of the tunes and made sure to keep the dance floor full. It was definitely a successful wedding day!

Hanna + Michael, thank you for having Rustic Elegance on your team! Here’s to many more years of love and happiness!
