THE PLANNING

When Jordan and Jaden told us that they wanted our help to coordinate their wedding at the Hutton House, we were overjoyed! This venue is modern, sleek, and simply beautiful. The opportunities for decor are endless with the simple black and white theme of the space. Oh, and we aren’t complaining about the fact that it’s only a 5 minute drive from our office! Lead coordinator and RE owner, Kellie, had the pleasure of planning with the bride. This also included a venue walk through with the couple, which was helpful in solidifying the plans for the day with their 175 guests!

THE MORNING

The doors to get into Hutton House open at noon, so we arrived right at 12pm to greet all of the vendors and begin setup! We were grateful to the family members that joined us to help set up as well! Lauren and Catherine from Hutton House were also on site to answer any venue related questions that came up.

The ladies got their hair and makeup done by Briana Malachesen who ensured each of them left feeling absolutely beautiful! Meanwhile the RE team popped in to check on the guys and pin on their boutonnieres before photos would be taking place.

Shoot for Joy then set up the first look. The couple opted to go a more nontraditional route by having Jordan do her first look with her groom and father at the same time. We love their reactions to how beautiful she looked in her David’s Bridal gown!

Jordan and Jaden then made their way around the venue with Shoot for Joy to get a few couple portraits and group photos with their wedding party. There are so many fun photo locations at Hutton House!

THE CEREMONY

As guests arrived, they took their seats for the ceremony in the Fireside Room. The fireplace was beautifully decorated by the mother of the bride with silk flowers from Lings Moments and battery powered candles. Once everyone was seated, the RE team began sending the wedding party down as we had practiced earlier during a quick day of rehearsal. Jaden entered with his parents, followed by 4 wedding party attendants on each side. Jordan then made her grand entrance, escorted by her father. She looked stunning! The ceremony started off with the mothers lighting the candles for the unity symbol. The father of the groom then officiated the ceremony beautifully, including sweet words said by the bride and groom. All of this was sealed with a kiss before Jordan and Jaden made their way down the aisle as the newest Mr and Mrs!

THE RECEPTION

It looked like it might rain, but we lucked out and were able to move forward with having cocktail hour outside! Guests socialized, played yard games, and enjoyed drinks served by the Hutton House. Meanwhile, the RE team got busy moving the ceremony flowers and candles to the head table and replaced these items with the bridesmaid’s bouquets.

As we neared dinnertime, the RE team began directing guests to find their seats in the main room. The wedding party then entered to get everyone hyped up and made a tunnel for the bride and groom to walk through for their grand entrance. This was such a fun way to get everyone involved!

Guests were then excused table by table to enjoy the amazing pasta buffet provided by Food Gallery! Once everyone had their food, the maid of honor and best man each said a quick, heartfelt speech that left smiles on everyone’s faces.

After dinner, guests moved back to the fireplace room for dessert from Sweet Cakes - Nothing Bundt Cakes. These sweet treats truly never disappoint and rarely leave leftovers!

This is also where the dance would be taking place, so guests gathered around the dance floor with their bundt cakes in hand to watch the couple’s sweet first dance and the parent dances. Midwest Sound then opened up the floor to everyone and the party got started! From tearing up the dance floor to running the photo booth, Midwest Sound kept the vibes high all night long.

As the night wrapped up, the RE team began cleaning up the decor per our clean up package that the couple opted to add on. We made sure that all of the appropriate items were packed into the mother of the bride’s car by the end of the night

Jordan + Jaden, thank you so much for having Rustic Elegance on your team! You two were a pleasure to work with and we loved celebrating your love!

Big thank you to Shoot for Joy for sharing these fun photos with us!
