Megan + Ryan | Little Log House
THE PLANNING
Our team absolutely loved planning with Ryan and Megan! We even got the pleasure of working with the bride’s mom, Jodi. The couple chose Little Log House as their wedding venue which we loved! It has so much character and the venue’s team, Angie and Tiffany, are the best to work with!
THE MORNING
The ladies arrived at the venue bright and early at 7:45am to get ready in the bridal suite on site. Lady Vamp Artistry spent the morning with them making sure their hair and makeup was perfect for the day ahead! The RE team made sure to check on the guys and help pin on lots of boutonnieres before photos started. Once Megan slipped into her beautiful gown from The Wedding Shoppe, they were ready for the day to begin!
Megan started by doing a first look with her father and her brothers, both of which were so sweet! Then it was time for the bride and groom to do their first look. The pure happiness on their faces brings us so much joy!
The couple then made their way around the venue to get portraits and group photos with their wedding party. Kost Productions nails these fun shots every time! Meanwhile, the RE team was busy setting up decor and greeting vendors. Once photos wrapped up, we pulled the wedding party aside for a quick day-of rehearsal and made sure to chat with their ushers about their duties. We love day-of rehearsals for this reason, but make sure to check out THIS blog for all the benefits of doing your rehearsal day-of!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place in the stable. The vibes were cozy, elegant, and romantic. There were candles placed in the fireplace and The Cutting Garden decorated the mantle beautifully!
Once guests were seated, Ryan walked his parents in and went back to also escort the bride’s mom down the aisle. We then cued the couple’s wedding party, which consisted of 6 attendants on each side, that it was time for the processional. The bride’s grandma, Carol, was the flower girl and handed out roses to guests on her way down the aisle. We loved this special touch! The bride then made her grand entrance with her father to the instrumental version of “Perfect”. This song was so fitting because honestly, this moment was nothing short of perfect!
The couple shared sweet words, did a warming of the rings unity symbol and had a couple of readings throughout the ceremony. They sealed the sweet moment with a kiss and made their way down the aisle as Mr and Mrs!
THE RECEPTION
The reception took place in the village hall, which is just as stunning and cozy as the ceremony space! Little Log House hung string lights that added the perfect touch of elegance to the room. The RE team grabbed the bridesmaid bouquets, which were crafted by The Cutting Garden, and placed them on the harvest head table. The ceremony mantle flowers got moved and repurposed on the mantle behind the head table. Guests were encouraged to use the audio guest book provided by Minnesota Wedding Party and grab their wedding favor which was a wine cork.
Once all of the guests were seated for dinner, the wedding party entered as a group and made a tunnel for the bride and groom to make their grand entrance. We loved this unique idea! Everyone was then invited to enjoy the delicious buffet from Classic Catering and yummy desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Throughout dinner there were speeches from the father of the bride, mother of the groom, best man, and maid of honor. The couple also made sure to say a thank you to all of their guests for their attendance and support!
The couple then began their first dance to “Forever Like That” by Ben Rector. This was followed by the traditional father/daughter and mother/son dances. Megan then surprised her mom with a special mother/daughter dance. How fun!
Oh and we can’t forget how Kost Productions made sure to pull the couple aside for photos with the most amazing sunset! This also set the perfect scene for a few clips in their wedding video. Look at these two lovebirds and their best friends having the best day ever!
Back inside, the party was getting started! Minnesota Wedding Party had everyone dancing up a storm! They also provided a photo booth that everyone had a great time using! We also made sure to set out the LED foam sticks that the couple provided for the dance floor, they were a huge hit!
Everyone enjoyed a late night snack of pizza from Dominos and danced the night away! The RE team was busy cleaning up to ensure that the couple and their loved ones could enjoy every second before heading home for the night.
Megan + Ryan, we absolutely loved helping create this magical day to celebrate your love! Cheers to the two of you!
This sweet couple left us the kindest review, so we had to share it with you to top off the recap of their wedding day. Thank you, Megan and Ryan!
