Sarah + Prosper | Round Barn Farm
THE PLANNING
Working with Sarah and Prosper to plan all their wedding details was so fun! Lead planner Kellie did most of the planning with Sarah who was seriously so sweet. We went through all of the details so that the day would run smoothly for the couple and their 130 guests at the beautiful Round Barn Farm. Sarah and Prosper also opted to use a few of our RE rental items, which we conveniently delivered since we were already on site on the wedding day.
THE MORNING
The morning of the wedding day is always filled with such excitement and anticipation, and this day was no different! The ladies got ready in the bridal suite at the venue which is conveniently attached to the B&B. CoraBella Studio was on site to do everyone’s hair and some of Sarah’s friends were there to help with makeup. We love the elegant boho vibes that Sarah’s dress from Effie’s Bridal Trunk gave off paired with the flower crown from Joy Unspeakable. The guys got ready in the groom’s suite that is also located on site at the venue (aka played darts and foosball until they were needed for photos)! ;)
For all of our animal loving couples, Round Barn Farm has a cute dog (Pepin) and cat on site! They belong to the owners of the barn and are always happily trotting around the grounds during setup, which always puts a smile on our faces!
Once the couple was done getting ready, they did their first look with Santrizos Photography capturing it beautifully. Afterwards they took couple portraits and wedding party group shots.
The RE Team then snatched up the wedding party to do a quick day of rehearsal. If you want to know why we encourage a day of rehearsal, check out our blog HERE.
THE CEREMONY
The site for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful and matched perfectly with the couple’s vibe. The arch was provided by the barn and the couple accented it with hanging decor which we hung earlier that morning. We also placed rugs down the aisle that the couple had provided to really amp up the boho feel. The wedding party, consisting of 5 attendants on each side and their pup (Axel) as the ring bearer, swiftly made their way down the aisle. The bride was then escorted through the ceremony doors and down the aisle for her grand entrance. Away We Go Weddings beautifully officiated the ceremony with ease. The couple did a unity tree for their unity symbol, shared many sweet words, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss! It was then time to filter everyone out for fun cocktail hour and move the arch decor to the reception area behind the head table.
THE RECEPTION
We love how creative the couple got with all the components of their wedding. The reception certainly was no different! The table decor consisted of old books, mini bottles with flowers, runners, and the table numbers incorporated a page from the book at the table. The couple’s chairs at the head table were our Gold PinTuck chairs and truly brought the head table together. They also utilized some components from the venue, including the old fashioned wagon for gifts and cards, the hutch for the memory table, and the cute bike table for guest favors (little pots with assorted seed packets). The guest book was also creative as the couple used an old shutter and had guests sign a tag and clip it to the shutter!
Once all of the guests were seated for dinner, the couple said a sweet welcome and it was time to eat! The meal was a buffet served in the pavilion by A’BriTin and was absolutely delicious. Dessert consisted of donuts from Hanisch Bakery which we placed on the donut display. Assistant planner Kayla was determined to make the dessert area look perfect, and we have to say we think she knocked it out of the park! The couple also had a cake to cut and share. All of the desserts were placed on RE dessert stands besides the mini donut wall.
The first dance took place in the downstairs of the round barn on site. There is a hole in the upstairs which we hung lights across making for a magical scene. Guests watched the dance from above (we loved this unique idea)! After the special dances, all of the guests were free to dance in both the upstairs and downstairs of the barn. Instant Request kept the party going on both levels all night long! Everyone also enjoyed a bonfire and s’mores outside on the beautiful summer night.
