Lissa + Brett | Backyard Wedding

Lissa and Brett were married in Mexico, but still wanted to have a reception/celebration back home with their family and friends. They decided to get married in Lissa's parents backyard in Inver Grove Heights on June 21st-this is also where Lissa's parents had their reception. This was right up our ally-backyard weddings are our favorite! We started planning with taking a look at the space to see where it would make sense to place the tent, parking, yard games, bar etc. Lissa and Brett decided they wanted to have a food truck, which worked out great since they had an open house style reception with 300 people!! The food truck was great- Chico's Catering! I would highly recommend them, their tacos were amazing and they were so super friendly and nice!! To help keep the beer cold we rented a beer trailer from Victory Rentals -this thing is great and can hold up to 8 kegs. This is a huge help for backyard weddings! The tent, tables and chairs, were provided by Midway Party Rental-who also elegantly draped the tent with fabric and twinkle lights. I think this adds so much to a tent, especially at night! Northern lights DJ kept the party dancing until well into the night! Towards the end of the night Lissa and Brett requested a late night snack of White Castle and Pizza-which guest absolutely loved!We had so much fun helping this family celebrate! Backyard weddings are so much fun and personal, but also so much work. We were glad we could help run the days events and act as hosts so Lissa and Brett's family could also enjoy the day!
