Meet the Team | Lyndse

We are so luckily to have this pretty lady, Lynse, as a lead planner on our Rustic Elegance team! We couldn't say enough good things about her and her planning skills! Lynse has contributed greatly to Rustic Elegance and we are grateful for her! Check out her interview below to learn more about her-I couldn't agree more about her dessert answer :)

Tell us a bit about you? My Name is Lynse. The spelling derived from my great aunt Verna Linse & the Y came from my mother’s middle name Lynn, & well… here I am! I am the middle child of 3. I have an older brother Josh and a younger sister Sarah. I grew up in St. Michael, MN. I now live just outside the Cites with my boyfriend and our beautiful 2yr old yellow lab.

What makes you smile?Super cheesy but almost everything. Bright green grass, traveling, robe days with my best friend, my job, doing things a certain way and realizing I am becoming my mother, my puppy, long drives with the windows down, watching my boyfriend cook, fresh creek water, breakfast on my deck, Dad jokes, looking at old photos, the sun on my face, basically being alive. I’m a happy soul. You should ask me what makes me frown…the list would be shorter!

What other hobbies do you enjoy? Camping, Hiking, Snowboarding, Tennis, DIY projects, Gardening.

What’s your favorite flower? Sunflowers, they remind me of my childhood.

What romantic film do you like best? Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, The Notebook and Stupid Crazy Love, are movies I could watch on repeat.

What’s a fun fact about you? I enjoy painting.

What is something people don’t know about you? I’m obsessed with Pinterest! My idea of a relaxing night is a glass of red wine while pinning!! And I love Disney movies more than the average kid.

What is your favorite love song?“When you say nothing at all” by Allison Krause. It really touches my soul. The man that I am madly in love with is hearing impaired & It’s amazing how he can speak right to my heart, with saying nothing at all.” Actions always speak louder than words. As well as Brad Paisley’s “Then.” I’ve thought to myself how can I ever love him more, & poof it happens.

What is your favorite dessert? Umm, yes please! I am definitely a girl with a sweet tooth! If I had to choose one, I would say Carmel Rolls, Strawberry Cheesecake & Snicker Doodle Cookies, ha-ha but the kid in me would say Cotton Candy Ice Cream & Peanut M&M’s.

Favorite quote? I have a few. “Everything in Moderation, Including Moderation.”This is one my dad would always tell me when I was little. Today it is still one of my favorites. My theory on loving life is “The Secret to having it all, is believing you already do.”My Favorite Love quote is “People don’t write sonnets about being compatible or novels about shared life goals & stimulating conversation. The great loves are the crazy ones.” –Blair Waldorf

Why did you get into wedding planning? I’ve always loved planning. Whether it’s a themed event or a road trip across the country. My Dream life was to host every holiday, with desserts cocktails and décor to match accordingly to the specific event being held! It brings me so much happiness to watch everyone enjoy themselves. I can remember hosting up to 60ppl in 6th grade with parents help of course but I would plan everything. From creating the invites to the outdoor games as well as music and food! Thanks again mom & dad. Those are some great memories & I guess they have lead me to my passion today. I am so grateful to have a career that lets me express what I love! Bottom line, life is about enjoying yourself and celebrating the relationships you have. I get to help people do that every day! I couldn’t ask for anything more.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day? Right before the ceremony. I can just feel everyone’s emotions and it’s set to music. It is just so raw, true & beautiful. It makes me feel alive inside. Way better than a Nicholas Sparks Movie & of course I love the first dance!

Why do you love Rustic Style Weddings? I love all weddings, but I appreciate the down home good feeling of a rustic wedding. I also enjoy all of our rustic/vintage pieces we have to offer in our rentals. You can do so much with a rustic wedding. From farm animals & hay bales to elegant chandeliers, it brings all these elements together so nicely, and when the dancing begins at a barn wedding it’s just a good ole’ hoe down!

Any great stories or moments from past weddings? Well I know the guest would probably say, witnessing a random woman cry as the bride walks down the aisle with her father. I’m just a wreck. All the guest look at me like who is this lady? Does she even know anyone here?

What tips or advice do you have for couples working on planning their wedding day? The best advice I can give you is to get all the main vendors squared away early. Therefore you will have a better chance of booking the vendors you prefer for your date. As well as having plenty of time to play around with all the little details like centerpiece & themes in the months to come. You’ll be more relaxed and able to enjoy all the steps to planning your wedding stress free!Another tip I just recently read about on The Knot. Is to take advantage of a high cost weddings by signing up for a credit card with a rewards program. Whether it gives you airline miles or great shopping deals. Consolidating all your wedding-related purchases on there will help you accumulate rewards points. Which could be used for things in the future like your honeymoon! So Smart. And many cards have the first year with no interest. That sounds like a win-win.

Best advice for the bride on her big day?Rain or shine, in the end it’s about enjoying every little moment from here on out for what it is & soaking that up. Sometimes literally.
