Allie + Jake | The Royal Club
THE PLANNING
We had so much fun planning with Allie and Jake for their wedding at The Royal Club! We had the honor of working with Allie’s family back in 2021 when her twin sister, Emily, got married! You can read about Emily and Ryan’s wedding HERE. The RE team also helped with one of Allie and Emily’s bridesmaids this past summer. We are so grateful for the referrals among their friends and family!
THE MORNING
The ladies were on site bright and early to start getting hair and makeup done by Sarah Jane Salon. It was a cozy morning with pouring rain outside. The forecast said it would clear up shortly before their portraits and outdoor ceremony, but we anxiously kept an eye on the radar.
Once Allie was finished with glam, she slipped into her bridal gown from The Wedding Shoppe. This dress looked like it was made for her! Meanwhile, the RE team made sure that Jake was ready and pinned on his boutonniere.
Vanessa Lee Photography then set up the bride’s first look with her ladies inside. They hyped her up and made sure to get plenty of hugs in!
Then the bride did her first look with her father followed by the couple’s first look. These both took place outside under the covered walkway to avoid the rain. These moments were so sweet! After spending a bit of time with one another to take in the day, Allie and Jake privately read their vows.
Just as they finished their vows, the rain let up. It was perfect timing to head out for couple portraits and group photos with their wedding party! The bridesmaid’s copper dresses were so fun and helped maintain the sleek look while still adding a pop of fall color!
Once photos wrapped up, the RE team pulled the wedding party aside for a quick day-of rehearsal. We also took this time to chat with the ushers about their duties as guests arrived.
THE CEREMONY
Thankfully, the rain continued to clear up and we were left with perfect overcast lighting for their outdoor ceremony! The outdoor ceremony site at The Royal Club is by a lake, which makes a stunning backdrop. Zo, a family friend, decorated the white arch that the couple provided with beautiful boho style installments. Which matched the couple’s theme and was perfect for the late September wedding vibes! Real flower petals also lined the aisle to give it an elevated look.
Jack, the usher, handled his duties perfectly by passing out programs and greeting guests as they arrived. Once everyone was seated, the RE team began directing the wedding party down the aisle. The couple had six attendants on each side, which included 2 maids of honor and 3 best men! Once it was time to send the bride down the aisle, Kierra from the RE team made sure to situate her dress so that the train flowed beautifully behind her. Allie then processed down the aisle with her father. She looked absolutely stunning!
The ceremony was short and sweet with an exchange of meaningful words and a long awaited kiss! Allie and Jake then recessed down the aisle to “Feel So Close” by Calvin Harris as guests threw flower petals. We’re obsessed with the dreamy photos Vanessa Lee Photography captured of this moment!
As guests made their way to cocktail hour, the RE team made sure to gather the ceremony decor and repurpose it in the reception space.
THE RECEPTION
Cocktail hour consisted of socializing with drinks and appetizers served up by The Royal Club. Remember how we said we planned Allie’s twin sister’s wedding and were planning her bridesmaid’s wedding? Check out these fun photos of the ladies at Allie’s wedding (sister, left and bridesmaid, right)! We love getting the chance to see our couples outside of their wedding planning journey with us!
During this time, the RE team put the finishing touches on the reception space. The table decor was a mix of black lanterns, table numbers, bud vases, and floating candles. The couple provided a seating chart, which was framed with a sleek black edge. As guests entered the space, they referred to the sign and took their seats. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party did their grand entrance. If you can’t tell by the photos, they had some unique ideas and really got into it!
The RE team then dismissed tables to head to the buffet from The Royal Club. Guests also received salads as they were seated, which helped the tables who weren’t first in line to not be too jealous of the others who got to head to the buffet first! Dessert was available after dinner, which consisted of Crumbl Cookies. These were a hit!
Oh, and we can’t forget the stunning photos that Vanessa Lee Photography took of Allie and Jake during sunset. We’re obsessed!
The couple then took to the dance floor for their first dance to “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran, followed by the traditional parent dances. Allie had her mom join during the father daughter dance, which was such a sweet touch!
Adagio DJ then opened the dance floor to everyone and got the night started. This group definitely didn’t hold back and came to party! This included making an epic video with photos of their guests in a pair of heart shaped sunglasses with A and J written on them. You can check it out on our Instagram HERE!
It turned out to be a beautiful evening to party the night away celebrating Allie and Jake! There were late night pizzas and plenty of drinks provided by The Royal Club. As the night wrapped up, guests had the option to take a safe ride to the hotel in a shuttle provided by the Courtyard by Marriott in Woodbury. The RE team ensured that the decor was all packed up in the specified vehicles by the time the evening wrapped up.
Allie + Jake, it was so much fun celebrating with you and your families again! Thank you for continuing to trust Rustic Elegance. It was an honor planning this day with you!
