THE PLANNING

We loved working with Kristy and Ethan to plan their wedding day at Round Barn Farm with their 200 family and friends in attendance! The RE team always enjoys helping couples with their wedding at Round Barn Farm as we have done many weddings there. Our team is very familiar with the grounds and flow of guests, so we can provide many nuggets of knowledge to advise couples throughout the planning process for their Round Barn wedding!

THE MORNING

The ladies gathered bright and early in the bridal suite on site at the venue. The SM Hair and Makeup team arrived shortly after to perfect their glam for the day ahead. The girls looked absolutely gorgeous! Not long after, the RE team arrived with the decor items that the couple rented and got to work setting up and greeting vendors as they arrived. As the wedding party finished getting ready, we made sure to pin on the guy's boutonnieres and popped in to make sure the ladies didn’t need anything from us. During this time we got to sneak a peek at Kristy, who was looking stunning in her Luxe Bridal gown!

The couple opted on not doing a first look, so Tom Thornton Photography took this time to capture photos of the bride and groom with their respective sides of the wedding party. Once the pictures wrapped up, the RE team pulled everyone aside for a quick day of rehearsal without the bride. Since her father was present, she could just follow his lead when it was time to be escorted down the aisle for real (and of course the RE team would be there to guide everyone)!

THE CEREMONY

The outdoor ceremony site at Round Barn Farm was beautiful, per usual! The florist from Bellagala decorated the arch with florals and draping that matched their wedding vibe perfectly. As guests arrived, the ushers greeted everyone and directed them to the ceremony site while handing out programs. Once everyone was seated, it was time to send the wedding party down the aisle!

Ethan entered with his parents, followed by the 7 bridesmaids/groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer, and 3 ushers. It was a large group, but thanks to our day of rehearsal, everyone made it to their spots seamlessly! We then closed the doors for Kristy to get into place. Once she was ready, we opened the doors to reveal the beautiful bride! She walked down the path where her dad was waiting to escort her down the aisle. He wanted to see her for the first time as she walked through the doors, and you can see by his reaction how special this moment was to him! As they made their way down the aisle, she saw her groom for the first time. He was filled with emotion as she approached. We love how much they all radiated love for one another!

The ceremony just got more and more touching as the couple shared their personally written vows, a unity symbol, and a long awaited kiss! They recessed down the aisle to “Married Life” by Michael Giacchino (aka the song from the movie Up)!

THE RECEPTION

When the ceremony wrapped up, guests made their way to cocktail hour for an appetizer buffet and drinks served up by This Little Piggy! The RE team took this time to put the finishing touches on the reception space. The tables were decorated with our lanterns, burlap runners, wood slices, and candle holders. The couple also provided artificial garlands for each table. The couple rented our mini vintage suitcase to collect cards on the gift table and had a polaroid station for their guest book table. The couple also provided special favors for guests that consisted of dog and cat treat goody bags to bring home to their furry friends!

Since the couple had not seen each other prior to the ceremony, they took this time to take photos with one another and their full wedding party. Tom Thornton captured the group perfectly!

The RE team began inviting guests to find their seats for dinner as cocktail hour came to an end. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party did a grand entrance and the bride’s father said a prayer. Then it was time to dig into the delicious buffet provided by This Little Piggy! When everyone finished their meals, they made their way to the lower part of the barn where cupcakes were displayed on our Maxine Dessert Collection!

While guests were enjoying dessert, the couple went back out to get a few evening portraits with the string lights and a couple of classic trucks their friends had arrived in. So fun!

Everyone then gathered around to watch the couple’s first dance to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez in the top of the barn. When the song came to a close, the Bellagala DJ encouraged everyone to get on the dance floor and kept the party going all night while emceeing the boutonniere toss, bouquet toss, and dollar dance!

The remainder of the night was spent dancing, socializing, and making s’mores. Per our clean up package that the couple added on, we made sure the decor was packed up and placed into the correct vehicles at the end of the night. Lorenz Bus Service arrived right on time to give guests a safe ride back to their hotel, while the couple made their way to the house on site and spent the night there. It was the end of an amazing night celebrating the bride and groom!

Kristy + Ethan, thank you for having Rustic Elegance on your team! You two were so easy to plan with and such an honor to celebrate!

Big thank you to Tom Thornton Photography for sharing these photos with us!
