Amanda + Noah | Abella
THE PLANNING
Amanda and Noah were such a pleasure to plan with! Our meetings together took place via Zoom, as the couple lives in California. We were able to meet them in person and join them for a venue tour at Abella when they came back to Minnesota to visit! Throughout the planning process, the couple made it clear that their primary goal was to spend as much time as possible with their guests. We worked with them to make a unique and non-traditional schedule in order to allow their guests to spend the entire day with them. This was super fun!
THE MORNING
The couple arrived at Abella bright and early on this Sunday morning to get ready for the day. The ladies were joined by Glamour Beauty who perfected their hair and makeup! The RE team arrived soon after to start setting up decor, greeting vendors, and helping pin on the groomsmen’s boutonnieres.
Kate Becker Photography then led the couple outside for their first look and took them around the venue for a few portraits. The wedding party, consisting of 6 on each side, then joined the couple for group photos. We love how the personal flowers from Lakeside Floral matched the bridesmaid’s dresses and the groomsmen’s ties!
The RE team then pulled the wedding party aside for a quick ceremony rehearsal. There are many reasons why we love day-of rehearsals. Find out why in THIS blog post!
THE CEREMONY
The couple opted for their ceremony backdrop to be the wooden doors that Abella has. The family provided silk floral decor to decorate the ceremony site, which worked out well since it was a very hot July day! Everyone was transported to the ceremony site via the venue’s super cute trolley. We started on time with a 1:00 pm ceremony! The couple provided program fans to keep guests cool and tissues to dry their happy tears. The RE Team cued the wedding party to walk down the aisle and worked with Midwest Sound to time the music. A family friend was the couple’s officiant, and they did a great job! We loved that the couple included a sailing knot as their unity symbol since they are big into sailing together! It was a beautiful ceremony that ended with the happiest Mr and Mrs making their way down the aisle!
THE RECEPTION
By 1:30 pm guests were enjoying social time with appetizers and a bloody mary / mimosa bar provided by Green Mill Catering! About an hour later, the RE team began inviting guests into the beautiful barn for brunch. The space was filled with decor from our rental inventory and Abella that complimented the space perfectly! They found their seats via the seating chart and sailboat table numbers that the couple provided. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their grand entrance and had a lot of fun with it! As the excitement calmed down, we began dismissing tables for the brunch buffet from Green Mill Catering. We were obsessed with this idea! The food was delicious and included a waffle bar. YUM!
As the day progressed, guests enjoyed tons of yard games and social time. The couple rented a sofa and chairs from us for guests to lounge on throughout the day. The couple got plenty of time with their guests and truly got to spend the whole day with them!
The sweet treats consisted of cupcakes and donuts from Angel Food Bakery. The couple had a special sailboat cake made just for them by Thirsty Whale Bakery, this was so fun and unique! All of the desserts were displayed on our dessert hutch that the couple rented.
At 5:30, we gathered everyone back in the barn for the couple’s first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis. This was so sweet and made for perfect content for their wedding video by Harvest Film Co! Even during the day, Midwest Sound kept the party going the whole time, a true talent!
Around 7:00 pm, pizzas were served as a dinner/late night snack combo. The guests were certainly well fed all day and enjoyed every bit of it!
The couple then went outside for a few sunset photos with Kate Becker Photography, which turned out so elegantly beautiful.
The night wrapped up around 8:30, resulting in a very successful day filled with plenty of socializing, lots of love, and a bunch of fun! We loved creating this unique timeline for Amanda and Noah’s wedding dreams to come true!
Amanda + Noah, thanks for choosing to have Rustic Elegance on your team! We loved being a part of it and hope married life has been fantastic!
