THE PLANNING

Devon + Zach were some of the sweetest people EVER! Lead planner Kayla met them in the beginning of their planning journey and knew that Devon was going to be the most well prepared bride - already talking about labels & logistics from day one.

Kayla + Devon met a few times prior to the big day, always meeting at a coffee shop in town, and once at the couple's beautiful new home! It’s always more fun to plan a wedding when there’s a charcuterie setup and wine, are we right?!

THE MORNING

When the October day finally came, it was a perfect day weather wise. We were blessed with a little wind, but the most beautiful sunshine throughout the day. Kayla and assistant Marissa H. arrived onsite before the wedding party to the Minnesota Valley Country Club.

The ladies and gents got all spiffed up at hotels/homes of friends nearby. While they were doing that, the RE team fine tuned the chair setup, added the rest of the ceremony decor, and prepped as much of the decor for the impending room flip that would occur post-ceremony.

The couple’s first look took place on a bridge on the golf course - such a special moment. The bride also honored family members that had passed away by adding charms to her bouquet, which was another special touch they added to their wedding plans.

THE CEREMONY

A beautiful golf course tucked back in Bloomington MN, the Minnesota Valley Country Club has the perfect setup for a wedding. The ceremony was hosted in a room which overlooked the golf course, and then guests migrated to the Fireside Room for cocktails while the ceremony room was flipped into the spot for the dinner/reception.

As guests arrived, they walked right into the main entrance where all the festivities were to occur. We set up the gifts & cards table, as well as a little memory station in the entryway, so guests could drop gifts & cards prior to sitting down for the ceremony.

When everyone was seated, it was time to get the show on the road! The ceremony was short & sweet, with meaningful readings and vows. And just like that, they were husband and wife!

THE RECEPTION

After the ceremony had finished, it was time for the big room flip. Together with the help of a few family members and the MVCC team, we flipped the room in record time. The venue squad brought in tables and re-aligned chairs, the RE team and family helped set up the florals, move the arch from the ceremony behind the head table, made sure table numbers were set up and centerpieces were arranged per the couple’s notes.

And, one of our favorite parts of the night… doing a reveal of the reception space to the newlyweds prior to the guests coming into the room! They were able to see their dreams come true and really take in the fact that it was their wedding day.

We let the couple take it all in, and then filtered guests in from the Fireside Room and bar into the reception space. Dinner was phenomenal thanks to the MVCC team, and they were very efficient in servicing all guests in a timely manner.

When dinner had wrapped up, a few speeches were given by family members, and then it was off to the dance floor where everyone danced the night away.
