THE PLANNING
Tami and Chris were such a sweet couple to work with to coordinate the details of their special day with. This was a unique planning experience as the couple lives in Florida. We utilized video and phone calls to discuss the details. No matter where you are located, we LOVE helping make your Midwest wedding dreams come to life!
THE MORNING
When the wedding day arrived everyone was eager for the celebration to begin! The ladies and gents spent the morning getting prepped. The girls got beautiful updos and their makeup done by Hair by Heidi in the adorable bridal cottage at Hidden Meadow. During this time the RE team took care of all of the details and greeted the all star team of vendors. El design accented the decor with breathtaking florals and supplied the amazing bouquets and boutonniers as well. We then walked the wedding party through a day-of rehearsal to nail down the ceremony and prevent any confusion or stress (we know it can be overwhelming walking down the aisle).
THE CEREMONY
Before the start of the ceremony the couple did a first look and took some sweet photos with Shane Long Photography. As the guests arrived, they placed their cards in the wooden card box that was handmade by the bride's dad (such a special touch)! The guests also signed wooden hearts to be placed in a frame, we loved this twist on a guest book!
During the ceremony there was a light sprinkle of rain, but guests toughed it out and embraced the refreshing shower (we like to call it a good luck shower). The clouds gave way soon after and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day! The couple had two adorable ring bearers and flower girls who were followed by the stunning bride escorted by her parents. They did a sand unity symbol, shared a kiss, and were declared husband and wife!
THE RECEPTION
After the ceremony the guests enjoyed yard games, a bonfire with smores, and passed appetizers provided by River Valley Catering. When it was time to be seated for dinner the guests found their places by looking at the decorative log seating chart. We placed the couple’s favor-bike bottle openers at each guest’s spot at the dinner table. This was very fitting as the couple is big into biking! For kids under 10 years old the couple provided a kids pack which was so fun! River Valley Catering provided a served buffet which was so delicious! Dessert was cupcakes and a small cake provided by a family friend (also very yummy)!
The couple then shared their first dance under the string lights on the patio, it was pretty magical! Later in the night the caterer provided a late night snack of mac and cheese and meatballs which was appreciated by all! That night, the bride, groom, and wedding party stayed at the house on site at Hidden Meadow. Some of the wedding guests chose to stay at the cabins that are conveniently located next door to the venue. The RE Team took care of cleaning up so that everyone could enjoy the special day to its fullest.
