Emma + Kevin | Hidden Meadows
THE PLANNING
Emma and Kevin were such a blast to plan with. You’ll be able to tell from the photos that they know how to have a good time and why we had so much fun with them! They had a beautiful day celebrating their love with 130 guests at Hidden Meadows and we can’t wait to share all the details with you!
THE MORNING
It was a beautiful fall day in Minnesota the morning of the wedding! The ladies were on site at 8am to start getting ready with a couple of the bride’s friends doing hair and makeup. Meanwhile the RE team was busy setting out decor, greeting vendors, and pinning on lots of boutonnieres.
Once everyone was ready, KB Photography brought Kevin out for the first look. Little did he know when he turned around he would be met with two of his buddies as the most beautiful “brides”! This definitely got a laugh out of everyone who witnessed it and was so fun!
Emma then made her way out for the real first look which was so heartwarming! KB Photography then led the couple around the venue grounds for portraits before inviting the wedding party to join for group photos. We love the way the personal flowers from Kallstrom Flowers looked with the wedding party attire!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony site at Hidden Meadows is always breathtaking! The large entry doors, the arch with the chandelier, the grasses that surround it… truly something out of a rustic fairy tail!
The couple had a large wedding party that made it smoothly down the aisle thanks to our day of rehearsal we had done prior at our team’s cues. The groom walked down with both of his parents. There were 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, which consisted of 3 maids of honor and 2 best men. In addition the processional consisted of grandparents, a flower girl, two ring bearers, and a beer boy. The couple’s dog also acted as the dog of honor and joined for the ceremony and photos! It was then time for Emma to make her grand entrance escorted by her mom (who was also the maid of honor). They both looked stunning!
The couple shared a sweet union in front of their loved ones that was beautifully officiated by the groom’s friend. They sealed all of the promises with a kiss and they were officially husband and wife!
They then recessed to “Don’t Stop the Party” by Pitbull. Another beer boy joined for the recessional to get the guests hyped up for the party ahead. You may recognize him as Yung Gravy, but he was in attendance as he was a high school friend of the groom’s. You can see his TikTok about the day HERE. So fun!
The couple then did a receiving line to say hello to each of their guests before excusing them to cocktail hour to enjoy drinks served up by Hidden Meadows and yard games also provided by the venue. The RE team then got busy moving some of the ceremony decor to the pavilion and set out snacks for guests to munch on.
THE RECEPTION
We then welcomed the guests to find their seats for dinner. Once everyone was seated the wedding party did a grand entrance and Yung Gravy stuck to his beer boy duties and passed out beer again. The guests loved hyping everyone up! The couple then said a welcome before handing it over to the RE team to begin dismissing tables for the delicious buffet from The Rack Shack. There were 5 speeches near the end of dinner and the couple did a cake cutting.
The couple then took to the dance floor for their first dance, followed by a mother/son dance and mother/daughter dance. All of them were so sentimental! Adagio then opened up the dance floor to everyone and got the party started! The whole day had so many special moments for Films For You to capture and add to the couple’s wedding video.
Emma and Kevin then took evening portraits, including a few in front of the marquee letters from Alpha-Lit!
Hidden Meadows then started a fire and the RE team set out s’mores supplies provided by the couple. Around 8pm dessert arrived in the form of a donut food truck provided by Holy Donuts. So yummy and fun! (Seriously can’t wait to see these guys at another wedding)!!
As the night wrapped up, the RE team began to clean up per our clean up package that the couple added on. Guests had the option to take the shuttle from Carlson Lines back to the hotels to ensure a safe ride back!
Emma + Kevin, we had such a great time planning with you and celebrating your day! Cheers to the two of you and many years of love and happiness ahead!
