THE PLANNING

Marissa and Brandon were so fun to work with throughout the entire process of their wedding! During the planning phase, lead planner Kellie handled the details with the couple. Then about a week prior to the wedding, Marissa was brought onto the final review call to meet them as she would be the lead planner on site the day of the wedding. During this call the bride stated that she felt that everything was taken care of and she didn’t have anything left to do. We love making our brides (and grooms) feel prepared and relaxed heading into their big day!

THE MORNING

The couple decided to get married at Hidden Meadow and Barn in Pepin, WI. Although it was a little hazy from the wildfires at the time, it didn’t impact the beauty of this venue! In fact, the smoke made their sunset photos super magical, so stay tuned to the end for a peek at those!

The couple was able to spend the night before the wedding at the house on site. This made for a fast and easy transition into getting ready in the morning. The ladies were joined by Pure Beauty Hair and Makeup who ensured that they were all looking and feeling their absolute best for the important day ahead! While everyone was getting ready, the RE team was busy setting up decor and greeting vendors.

Not long later, Angela Kissell Photography set the couple up for the most romantic first look. After placing each of them on one side of the ceremony doors, they began to read letters from each other before the big reveal. Then Marissa took a step back and Brandon opened up the doors to reveal his beautiful bride! They both looked absolutely amazing, especially together!

Once the couple was finished with their first look and couples portraits, the rest of the wedding party joined them for group photos. We love the classy look of everyone together with black dresses and suits! The simple white bouquets made by one of the bride’s coworkers topped everything off!

THE CEREMONY

After the Ready Bus Company had dropped all the guests off and everyone was seated, it was time to start the ceremony. The RE team lined everyone up in the order that we had practiced earlier that day at the rehearsal (see why we love doing day of rehearsals HERE). During the rehearsal we also worked with the couple’s DJ, Complete Wedding & Events, to make sure we had timing nailed down. Once the time was right, we signaled for the DJ to begin the processional song and let each wedding party member know when to walk. This allowed everyone to focus on simply getting down the aisle and keeping a smile on their face!

We then closed the ceremony doors and fluffed Marissa’s dress so she would be ready right when the DJ changed the song. After a deep breath we opened the doors to reveal the beautiful bride escorted by her father. The couple shared a sweet ceremony (and an even sweeter kiss) surrounded by the beautiful ceremony site at Hidden Meadow. Marissa and Brandon then stepped aside to sign their marriage license and make everything official while their guests made their way over to cocktail hour.

THE RECEPTION

After guests spent time socializing, playing games, and getting drinks from the bar (which was conveniently run by the venue), it was time to get seated for the buffet dinner! The reception area was decorated very simply, which gave the barn an elegant and classy feel. Guests had assigned seating and located their spots on a seating chart sign that the couple had printed. Once everyone found their seats, each table was dismissed to grab their dinner from Rack Shack BBQ. There were also a couple options for dessert consisting of cupcakes and ice cream treats provided by Batter and Bowls. Everything was so delicious!

While guests were finishing up their food, Angela Kissell Photography grabbed the bride and groom for sunset photos. It was definitely hazy that evening, but it left the couple with perfectly romantic portraits. We truly can’t get over them!

After returning from their short photo session, the couple headed to the dance floor to do their sweet first dance to Better Together by Luke Combs. Complete Weddings & Events then opened up the dance floor to everyone and it was full until the end of the night! The party probably would have gone all night long if we let it! But it did leave Wedding Videos Minneapolis with some pretty great clips for the couple’s wedding video!

Marissa + Brandon, it was a pleasure to be involved throughout all stages of your wedding! We hope that marriage has been just as much fun as this day was!

Special shout out to Angela Kissell Photography for sharing these dreamy photos with us.
