Kenedy + Nathan | Backyard
The Planning
Kenedy and Nathan had a gorgeous intimate wedding in their aunt’s yard in August of 2020. The couple and their families were all so much fun to work with! As the couple just recently passed their one year anniversary (congrats!), we decided to reminisce on their special day.
The Thursday before the wedding was a big tent set up day! This meant that lead planner Kellie was on site to make sure that the tents were set up exactly as planned. We got creative with tent placement in this smaller backyard by having 3 separate ones! One was to be used for dinner and dancing, one for the bar and one for the buffet. Because of this unique setup, Kellie visited the site a few times prior to set up to make sure the flow and setup was well thought out. Apres absolutely nailed the tent set up as always! The couple decided on our Elegance Package, which allowed them to choose a ton of RE decor to elevate the backyard. Upon our arrival on Thursday, we delivered their RE decor items and did a short rehearsal as well!
The Morning
The morning of the wedding started off with everyone prepping for the big day ahead. The ladies got ready at the bride's parents house with hair and makeup being done by Primped. While the girls were getting pampered, everyone else was doing their part on site. For the RE team of Kellie and Kayla, this meant greeting vendors, setting up decor, and making sure everything was in place. We set up our wood tables, folding chairs, wine barrels, bar, arch, buffet hutch, signs, table numbers, and so much more! Another perk of our Elegance Package is that you get full access to our amazing team member Kierra who can write on our chalkboard signs with calligraphy! This couple was able to take advantage of this and it was so pretty! We’ve Got it Covered came in to spice up the tents with some lighting, draping, and chandeliers, which turned out gorgeous! Then Bellamore Floral came in and provided some floral decor, bouquets, and boutineers (which were all beautiful)! This setup made for a great location for Blaize Fobbe to get some amazing video shots.
The Ceremony
Before the ceremony started, the wedding party took photos at Cafe Lurcat / Loring with Fuller Life Photography. These photos turned out absolutely amazing! The wedding party consisted of 4 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, and 1 junior bridesmaid (who was so cute!).
When it was time for the ceremony, guests began to gather in the front yard. The wedding party made their way down the aisle followed by Kenedy and her father entering to “At Last” by Etta James. The couple did a sand unity symbol, shared a kiss, and they were married!
The Reception
The guests made their way to the backyard after the ceremony for the reception. With a Twist hosted great bartending behind the bar the couple rented from RE. During the reception the couple got a surprise Zoom toast from the bride’s cousin who is serving in the military. This resulted in many happy tears! Once everyone was seated for dinner, The Outlook Bar & Grill served the buffet due to Covid (still super delicious!). After dinner the MN Nice Cream truck pulled in and everyone was so excited for the yummy treat!
After the ice cream excitement settled down, Midwest Sound was there to get the music started. The couple had their first dance to “You and I” by John Legend and it was so adorable!
