Marie + William | Camp Foley
THE PLANNING
Marie and William’s wedding was such a fun one to help coordinate! We worked long distance with the couple because they are located in Tennessee. They decided to utilize our Elegance Package to get unlimited, exclusive access to all of our rentals for their day (so we delivered a ton of rentals upon our arrival)! Due to the distance from our office to the venue, the RE team stayed overnight in Cross Lake, MN. Lead planner, Marissa, also led a rehearsal the night before the wedding!
THE MORNING
The day of the wedding arrived and everyone was excited and full of emotions for the day ahead! The ladies got ready at their family cabin with Studio Posh doing their hair and a family friend doing their makeup. The guys arrived at the venue by boat to prepare for the big day. The couple decided to opt out of a first look and wait for a grand reveal during the ceremony, so they spent the morning with their respective sides of the wedding party until ceremony time arrived! Fun fact: The groom’s best man was his dad (we loved this sweet touch)!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place in a beautiful, 1935 stone chapel at Camp Foley. The historic location made the event feel even more monumental! The groomsmen entered the building through the side door. The bridesmaids gracefully walked down the aisle one by one, followed by a few adorable flower girls. The big red door to the chapel was then closed for Marie and her father to get in place. As the cello started playing, the usher opened the door to reveal Marie for the first time! It was a wonderful ceremony with 4 clergy present. A few sweet words were said and the couple shared a kiss, they were officially married!
THE RECEPTION
After the ceremony, guests made their way to a lakeside tent from Party Time Rental for cocktail hour. The tent was decorated with furniture pieces from the RE rental collection for guests to lounge on as they socialized. The guests also enjoyed yard games as they mingled throughout the night. As cocktail hour wrapped up, guests made their way to the camp reception hall for dinner provided by The Woods. Simply Rustic Floral Design added a beautiful touch of floral to each location. The venue was filled with over 120 guests from Tennessee to Alaska and everywhere in between! While dinner was taking place a few individuals stepped up to do their speeches. One that really stood out to us was the father of the bride’s. He said, “I always hoped my daughter would marry a man who had a well-respected job. She ended up with not a doctor, not a lawyer, but a moonshiner - and thank god!” We love it when we can see the true personality and happiness in someone’s speech! After speeches, guests helped themselves to a cake dessert from Sweet Life Bakery after some adorable cake cutting photos taken of the couple by Paul Gregersen!
The couple made their way to the dance floor shortly after to do their first dance (which was super cute)! This was followed by two equally sweet dances between the bride and her father and the groom and his mother. The BlueWater Kings Band then opened up the dance floor to all guests and it was packed until the night wrapped up!
Marie + William the RE team absolutely loved being included in your big day! The location and every detail of the day was so special and memorable!
